So as i search more about cloth diapering, i started getting hooked with it. I bought my first set (5 pcs baby alva with 3 layer inserts -Php900- ) through niftycorners in shoppee. I think it's the best deal i found over the net. I'm so happy with the designs i chose and the seller was easy to deal with...
Listed below are my personal reasons why i choose cloth diaper for my baby.
5 REASONS WHY I CHOOSE CLOTH DIAPERS
1. Cute designs - What attract me first about cloth diapers are the colors and designs. The cuteness factor is limitless and fashionable as well. See those prints in flowery, purple and pink, green and yellow, white and blue, they are so adorable...
2. Environmental ( less garbage) - This is the benefit i would like to share with mother earth. To lessen the trash I dispose. Also, here in the Philippines there are lots of stray dogs roaming around and sometimes you can see them with dirty diapers in their mouth. I don't want to see my baby's dirty diaper eaten by a dog. Garbage piles are huge and is a big problem here in our country
3. Economical ( reusable and washable) - Disposable diapers are way expensive than cloth diapers. Considering i use 5 pcs ( worth 8 pesos each) disposables in a day(average), it will cost Php 40 / day multiply it in 30 days it will cost Php 1200 in a month which makes it Php 14400 in a year while buying around 25 pcs cloth diapper in Php 200 / pc will only cost Php 5000 and its reusable for years.
4. Comfortable ( less rashes, comfort of cloth) - No chemicals, soft on baby's skin. My baby used to have a lot of rashes depending on the brand of diaper she uses. So, when i switched to cloth diapering, her rashes were gone. i just used pure water using spray every changing time and wipes it with cotton cloth too.( i stop using disposable wipes as well)
5. Easy potty training - Unlike disposable diapers, cloth diaper is less absorbent, that means the baby can feel the wetness and they will let you know. They don't like it. I have proven it on my first born child, he doesn't want the feeling of getting wet and dirty so potty training gets easy.
Yesterday i got my 2nd batch of CD's which i bought from Icav's boutique they were so cute and chick. Im so excited to use it for my baby. Different brand, different designs same function.
Now i'm still saving up for my 3rd batch of cloth nappies for my little girl. My plan is to have at least 25 sets.
